Head of Legal Technology – London international law firm, hybrid working.
FRONT Legal Tech Recruitment is recruiting a Head of Legal Technology for a major international law firm in London. The role will lead the development and adoption of legal technology across the firm, working closely with lawyers, innovation teams, IT leadership and specialist technology providers.
The focus is on selecting, implementing and improving technology that changes how legal work is delivered, including workflow, document automation, AI-enabled tools and wider legal systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the firm’s Legal Technology function and specialist team
- Develop the legal technology roadmap with senior stakeholders
- Evaluate and introduce new Legal Tech and AI platforms
- Lead major implementation and adoption programmes
- Work with practice groups to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Manage relationships with specialist Legal Tech vendors
- Build adoption and usage across existing systems
- Manage and develop Legal Technology Managers and specialists
- Monitor developments across legal AI, workflow technology and legal systems
Experience required
You will have substantial experience in Legal Tech, legal innovation, legal systems or technology transformation within a law firm, professional services business or specialist Legal Tech company.
You should understand the practical challenges involved in implementing technology within legal workflows, including stakeholder management, adoption, information security and integration with existing systems.
Previous team leadership or management experience is expected.
